Liberty Unleashed by Shannon W. Bray Launches on Amazon

RALEIGH, N.C. — December 26, 2025 — Liberty Unleashed, a new political and civic commentary by Navy veteran and North Carolina leader Shannon W. Bray, officially launches today on Amazon in hardcover, paperback, and digital editions.

  • Shannon Bray Accepts Offer to Run for U.S. Senate

RALEIGH, N.C. — Shannon Bray has formally accepted an offer to run for the United States Senate, launching a campaign that emphasizes technology-forward governance, civil liberties, and practical reforms aimed at restoring trust in public institutions.

Bray, a longtime technology consultant and systems engineer, enters the race with a background that spans cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale enterprise modernization projects across both public and private sectors. His decision to run reflects growing concern that Washington continues to lag behind the realities of a digital economy, modern security threats, and the daily frustrations faced by citizens interacting with government.

“The systems we rely on—energy, elections, healthcare, emergency response—are increasingly digital, yet our policies are stuck decades behind,” Bray said. “I accepted this offer because I believe we can modernize government without expanding surveillance, selling personal data, or concentrating more power in Washington.”

A Platform Rooted in Innovation and Individual Rights

Bray’s campaign centers on a consistent theme: innovation without exploitation. He has outlined priorities that include secure digital public services, privacy-preserving identity verification, resilient infrastructure, and cybersecurity standards that match modern threats—while rejecting mass data collection and unchecked surveillance.

Unlike traditional candidates, Bray frames technology not as an end in itself, but as a tool to reduce bureaucracy, cut costs, and return control to individuals. His policy proposals stress voluntary participation, transparency, and consent—particularly in areas involving personal data.

    A Non-Traditional Candidate for a Changing Era

As a non-career politician, Bray positions himself as an outsider focused on outcomes rather than party machinery. Supporters argue that his technical background offers a rare perspective at a time when lawmakers are routinely tasked with regulating systems they do not fully understand.

“Too many decisions in Congress are made without grasping how modern systems actually work,” Bray said. “That gap creates waste, insecurity, and public distrust. My goal is to close that gap.”

    Looking Ahead

With the acceptance of the Senate run now official, Bray’s campaign is expected to roll out a series of policy papers, public forums, and digital-first outreach efforts across North Carolina. The campaign will emphasize direct voter engagement, clear explanations of complex issues, and a focus on measurable results rather than partisan rhetoric.

As the race develops, Shannon Bray’s candidacy adds a distinct voice to the field—one arguing that liberty, security, and technological progress do not have to be in conflict, and that the future of governance depends on understanding the systems that now underpin everyday life.

  • Bray Found Innocent; Resumes Campaign for Governor

DECEMBER 8, 2023 (HOLLY SPRINGS)—The Committee to Elect Shannon Bray today released the following statement by the candidate concerning the resumption of his campaign for election as North Carolina governor, following the successful resolution of trials stemming from his arrests in August on assault and marijuana possession charges.

  • Shannon Bray Issues Statement

OCTOBER 9, 2023 (HOLLY SPRINGS)—The Committee to Elect Shannon Bray today released the following statement by the candidate concerning recent enquiries about the status of his campaign for governor in the light of his arrests in August on assault and marijuana possession charges.

“First of all, I love my wife and care deeply about her welfare. And, reluctantly but accordingly, I have reached the conclusion that we are both better off apart than together. I now appreciate that it took me longer than it should have to get to this point and that both of us would likely have been better off if we had split sooner.

“Secondly, while I believe it should be legal for folks to grow pot for personal consumption, the plants that were confiscated from my home were hemp, not marijuana.

“Personally, my priorities now are my health, my legal situation, and my campaign, in that order.

  • Fairness for Independent Voters in NC

A joint statement from LPNC gubernatorial candidate Mike Ross and lieutenant governor candidate Shannon Bray regarding Senate Bill 749 currently under consideration by the North Carolina General Assembly re: changing the way members of the Boards of Election are selected.

In October of 1765, the Stamp Act Congress met in New York. This group of American colonists then declared what would become a fundamental part of the formation of what is now known as the United States of America: No Taxation Without Representation.

It was unacceptable to these Colonists that the English Monarchy had any right whatsoever to tax them when not a single American Colonist was represented in their government. The argument being that to have the right to tax the citizens of the country, that population must be represented within the government. This is one of the core principles upon which America was founded.

North Carolina violates this core principle in an egregious manner when it comes to our elections.
